August Team Player Highlight
Sometimes delivering a load can feel like a relay race. Each member of the team has an equally important, but different job with a shared end goal. Our local drivers are the last leg of the race and oftentime, this position can require a lot of flexibility, reliability, and patience.
Dexter Hallman has been with Storey for almost two years now and is a local driver here in Alabama. Hallman is honored as this month’s Team Player, because he has consistently been committed to the team as a whole, as well as willing to do whatever is needed to get a load delivered on time. Recently, Hallman was taking a few days off when he heard that we may need some extra help on a local delivery. He didn’t question it, but came straight in to help out. He extends his everyday pleasant and easy-going demeanor into his work life, making him a joy to work with both in-house and with our customers.
Working as a team is how we stay on top. We are so thankful for our 20+ local drivers stationed in the Southeast and West coast. They push themselves to meet deadlines, often have long days and are a vital part of this operation. They keep our over the road drivers moving and make us look good with the customers. We could not do it without them.
